Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Permanent version linkAll document versions

TEST billing only

This is a staging draft. The current application accepts Stripe TEST keys and uses simulated payments. Do not enter real card details for staging checks. Commercial prices, taxes, refund decisions and customer contract terms are not approved by this draft.

Plans and credit accounting

The billing screen displays the configured plan price and included integer credits. Eligible subscription invoices grant credits once per billing period under a stable deduplication key. A duplicate webhook must not grant a second allowance. Credits are application units, not cash or the provider's invoice currency.

A scan plan displays its retail credit requirement separately from estimated provider cost. Credits can be reserved when a run starts and settled as work is processed. An uncertain provider submission is retained for reconciliation instead of being blindly purchased again. The app does not automatically charge overages.

The current implementation has no automatic unused-credit expiry, balance reset or rollover-expiry rule. That is a description of staging behavior, not a perpetual commercial credit guarantee. A final credit lifecycle policy needs approval and implementation together.

Provider spending and recurring work

Paid scans remain disabled. A subscription or positive credit balance does not override that gate or set a provider budget. The owner must select separate per-run and monthly provider limits before paid scanning can be enabled.

If later enabled, recurring work uses standing limits and a configured timezone. Pausing prevents new eligible work; already submitted external tasks can still complete and incur their provider cost. Closing the browser does not stop background work. No weekly scan is currently scheduled.

Cancellation

The TEST billing portal supports cancellation at the subscription period end. The application reconciles status from Stripe, including an effective cancel_at date. Access remains active while the canonical subscription is active or trialing. Cancellation does not itself erase the credit ledger, delete account data or issue a refund.

Use the displayed subscription state and date to check the result. Account deletion requests and subscription cancellation are separate controls.

Refunds and disputes require a decision

No final commercial refund policy has been selected. This draft does not declare payments non-refundable, promise a refund window or adopt another vendor's rules. No automatic refund/dispute clawback workflow is implemented. Refund events and any credit adjustments require a reviewed administrative process.

Before accepting live payments, the owner and reviewing lawyer must decide applicable cancellation/refund rights, failed-task credits, taxes, renewal notices, proration, credit expiration and dispute handling, and the product must enforce the approved choices.
